Community conversation launches for North West Quadrant

We have launched a Community Conversation as part of regeneration plans for North West Quadrant in Slough.

Identified by Slough Borough Council as a location for a new mixed-use neighbourhood, the former Thames Valley University site was acquired by Homes England in 2023 to support the regeneration of the area.

We are now working in partnership with Homes England to develop a comprehensive plan for the regeneration of the prominent town centre location.

Adjacent to Slough Train Station and the town centre’s retail core, it is an opportunity to deliver a dynamic new neighbourhood. North West Quadrant could include new homes, workspaces, retail opportunities, and public spaces – as well as delivering significant social value for the community.

To help us, and Homes England, develop a regeneration masterplan, we are launching a consultation website, and holding a Community Conversation event on 27th March, between 12pm and 7pm, at The Curve Gallery, William St, Slough, SL1 1XY.

All of the information will be made available online at www.northwestquadrant.commonplace.is on the 25th March.

This consultation will be a chance for residents to tell the project team about the area and what they would like to see from a potential new neighbourhood. No proposals will be shown as part of the consultation, but the feedback received will support the development of a vision for the site to inform the preparation of detailed plans.

Chris Scott, Development Director at Muse, said:

North West Quadrant is an exciting opportunity to deliver regeneration in the heart of Slough. ”

“We are working in partnership with Homes England, and collaborating closely with Slough Borough Council, to understand the potential of this location and the opportunity for regeneration.”

“Whilst North West Quadrant has long been identified for regeneration, we are starting with a fresh perspective. We want to hear from the community and understand what they like about Slough, and what could be improved, as well as how North West Quadrant could contribute to the regeneration of the town.”

Further information on the project and how you can leave feedback will be available on the project website from 25th March so please visit www.northwestquadrant.commonplace.is then.

Residents can contact the project team by email at consultation@plmr.co.uk and by calling 0800 368 4758.
