Wapping Wharf

There's no place like home

At Wapping Wharf a mix of home types, sizes and tenures to cater for all different kinds of families at all stages of life.

There are affordable and open market homes for private sale, private rent, social rent and shared ownership that over 1,000 people now call home. A strong sense of community has developed between the residents, retailers and nearby neighbourhoods, making it a welcoming place to live, work and relax.

The social network

Wapping Wharf is a new destination in the historical and cultural heart of Bristol, where people can visit, shop, eat and relax by the waterfront.

The landowner and our partner, Umberslade, has carefully curated a mix of independent restaurants, shops and cafes, many of which are housed in converted shipping containers. This is a highlight in the city’s eclectic food scene, attracting visitors from far and wide.

A 200-year-old welcome

The masterplan worked to integrate the old with the new, sensitively restoring the Grade II Listed City Gaol Gate to create a striking welcome.

We preserved this structure of historical significance, while making sure it fit seamlessly with the new apartment buildings.

A sense of place

The architecture of the homes references the dockside character of the area, with materials including timber shiplap, brickwork and cobblestones salvaged from the derelict site.
