Eden’s vibrant events programme brings sustainable workspace to life

Eden was designed to be more than a sustainable office building. It was created as a place where like-minded individuals and businesses come together to explore innovation, forge partnerships, and drive investment, all in pursuit of creating a sustainable future that benefits every part of the community.

Over recent months, that vision has been brought to life through a growing programme of activity at Eden, from sustainability-focused discussions and city-region roundtables to occupier wellbeing sessions and community moments. Together, they are helping to create a vibrant atmosphere within the building, showcasing not only the quality of the workspace but the strength of the community forming around it.

As one of the UK’s most sustainable office buildings, Eden continues to attract organisations and partners who share an interest in innovation, regeneration and positive change. Its location in the heart of Salford Central, its distinctive design and its commitment to sustainability make it a natural setting for conversations that look to the future.

Sparking collaboration and innovation

We began 2026 by hosting the Planet 100 launch event in January, attended by businesses and partners from across the city. The event brought together organisations united by their ongoing commitment to sustainability and innovation. Led by Salford City Council, the launch marked the start of a year-long programme of sustainability-focused activities to celebrate 100 years since Salford was granted city status by royal assent.  As the UK’s most sustainable office building, with a 5.5 NABERS Design Reviewed Target Rating and sustainable design features throughout, hosting the Planet 100 launch event meant we could continue to support green innovation across Salford. The event also reinforced the importance of incorporating sustainability at every stage of regeneration and placemaking – a key principle embodied by Eden from the workspace’s inception to the green oasis that stands on Irwell Street today. This kind of interest reflects Eden’s wider relevance: not only as a high-quality workspace in Salford, but as a tangible example of how sustainable development can support city-wide climate ambitions, inward investment and better places for people.

Showcasing sustainable development on a wider stage

Eden’s role as an exemplar of future-focused development is also attracting attention beyond Greater Manchester.  We recently welcomed a delegation of eight international city representatives as part of the EU Covenant of Mayors Urban Transition Mission which is a global initiative supporting 150 cities to accelerate their transition to net zero.  With Greater Manchester part of the Urban Transition Mission, the visit gave delegates an opportunity to learn more about the Eden workspace development and how ambitious sustainability, biodiversity and workplace wellbeing principles have been brought together in a live commercial setting.

Supporting meaningful conversations

Eden has also welcomed a number of organisations working across regeneration, investment and sustainable growth.

In March, Eden hosted an Insider / Bee Net Zero roundtable, bringing together landlords, developers, and solution providers. The discussion focused on how improving heritage office buildings can play a meaningful role in reducing emissions across the built environment in the North West. As a net-zero-in-operation office building that delivers a 2,000% biodiversity net gain, Eden was a perfect fit.

More recently, Invest Manchester hosted a roundtable focusing on Atom Valley – a local regeneration masterplan spanning Bury, Oldham, and Rochdale, further spurring wider regeneration across the city region.

Andrew Toolan, head of financial & professional services at Invest Manchester, said, “We recently had the pleasure of hosting an event at Eden, a stunning, sustainable new building that contains Europe’s largest living wall and forms part of the wider £1bn Salford Central masterplan. This urban oasis provides excellent workspace, while supporting biodiversity, the net zero agenda and reflects Salford’s proud history of innovation.”

More than a workspace

Alongside the external events Eden hosts, we also have a busy calendar for our occupants, with sessions designed to support social connection, mental and physical wellbeing, and a stronger sense of workplace community. From sound baths to celebrating Manchester Pride, the programme reflects the kind of inclusive, people-focused environment Eden has been designed to support. It is part of creating a workplace experience that goes beyond the desk, helping occupiers feel connected to the building, to each other and to the wider city.

Furnished and blank canvas workspace ready for forward-thinking businesses

For businesses looking for sustainable workspace, Eden offers a compelling combination: high-quality office space, strong amenity, excellent connectivity and a growing workplace community.

The building’s fitted and furnished workspace provides a practical next step for growing businesses and SMEs looking for the quality of a new Grade A office without the time, cost and complexity of a traditional fit-out. The building also offers CAT A floors offer blank canvas office space to personalise to your own brand and requirements.

It is particularly well suited to businesses that want to make a confident move into a sustainable office building, while giving their people a workplace that feels considered, welcoming and future-focused from day one.

Open to ideas and collaboration

As Eden continues to grow its occupier community, the building will also continue to welcome selected partners, organisations and initiatives that align with its values around sustainability, innovation, wellbeing and positive impact.

For businesses and partners looking to bring people together around meaningful conversations, Eden offers a memorable and inspiring setting. More importantly, it offers a glimpse of what the future of sustainable workspace can feel like.

At Eden, the focus is not simply on filling space. It is on creating a place with life, purpose and momentum.
