Novus Apartments in Slough, is now 100% sold and fully occupied, building a strong new community in the heart of the town.

Delivered by Slough Urban Renewal, our partnership with Slough Borough Council, the collection of 64 studio suites, one and two-bedroom apartments forms part of the major redevelopment of the former library site.

Over the past 10 years, we’ve been working with the Council to contribute to the regeneration of Slough and act as a catalyst for change. We’ve built over 350 new homes, secured planning for another 550 and delivered £350m of regeneration activity. An incredible 84% of homes at Novus apartments went to first time buyers, with a third of homes sold to local buyers, 48% sold through First Homes and 25% sold through Help to Buy.

Since the apartments were first launched for sale, the homes have enjoyed wide appeal – particularly among local, first-time buyers, with both the Government’s Help to Buy and First Homes schemes available.

Andy Howell, General Manager at Slough Urban Renewal (SUR) said:

With so many of our home buyers already enjoying life in their new apartments, it is fantastic to welcome our final purchasers into their new homes at Novus Apartments.”

“It has always been our aim here to deliver homes for those people who live and work in the area and to assist those who are seeking their first home, to take that initial step onto the housing ladder.”

“Schemes such as Help to Buy and the Government’s First Homes scheme have meant that we really have been able to make home ownership more accessible to more people.”

Meet some of our new residents:

Danilo

One couple able to take advantage of the First Homes scheme at Novus Apartments, were first time buyers Danilo and his partner, who have bought  a new, one-bedroom apartment.

Talking of their experience, Danilo said:

“First Homes was great for us and has meant that we have been able to buy a home of our own. We had initially been looking for somewhere closer to London but when we came across Novus Apartments, it just offered us everything we were looking for and First Homes made it accessible.”

“The fact that the development is so well connected and close to the train station really appealed to us. We also love that fact that it is brand new and that all of the appliances etc are included.”

“We are really happy with our new apartment. It feels very spacious, and the standard of finish is really good too.”

Shannen

Shannen

Teacher and first-time buyer Shannen came across Novus Apartments in Slough when she was searching for a new home, within an easy commute of the capital.

Having rented for a number of years, Shannen was keen to purchase a home of her own and was looking for an area that would offer her a better cost of living and quality of life, but was still within easy reach of the school, where she teaches in West London.

Talking of her purchase, Shannen said:

“I am so pleased with my purchase at Novus. When I first came to visit the development, I was very impressed with the show homes, they were so spacious, and the apartments felt fresh and airy.”

“The finish here is really good too and with all of the appliances included, it just seemed the ideal first home.”

“Because I was buying on my own, it was important that I found a home, which felt safe and secure. The key card and security system here has given me that peace of mind I was seeking.”

“Its central location also means that everything is within easy reach and the bike storage really appealed to me too.”

Ben

Ben

Ben has purchased a new one-bedroom apartment at Novus Apartments in Slough – and he is already loving life in his new home.

Ben was renting in London, close to his workplace when an ad on Instagram for Novus Apartments caught his attention. Unconvinced that he’d be able to buy a new home anywhere within commuting distance of the capital, Ben made a tentative enquiry to explore what was on offer. Within two days, he had viewed the show apartment and was ready to make an offer!

With the Government’s First Homes scheme available on selected homes at Novus Apartments, suddenly Ben’s dreams of home ownership had become a reality.

Talking of the location, Ben said:

“I love the location. Being so close to the  train station was a major draw for me because I commute into London for work. It’s also easy to hop onto the train to Windsor which is great at weekends.”

“The fact that we now have the Elizabeth Line too is amazing. It’s so quick to get into London. I’m so central here I can walk to the high street and there are so many lovely parks and open spaces on the doorstep. I have been really enjoying getting to know all that is on offer.”
