We have strengthened our senior leadership team, appointing Simon Harding-Roots as Managing Director for our Southern region.
Simon will lead our southern business, driving growth and expanding partnerships to deliver sustainable regeneration.
Joining from The Crown Estate, Simon was Managing Director for London, overseeing a 10 million sq ft, £8 billion portfolio – including a £2.5 billion programme of major projects.
He was also Executive Director of Major Projects at Grosvenor Group and held senior roles at Imperial College London and with the Treasury Holdings Group.
Simon, who will join on 31st March, will work closely with public and private sector partners to drive forward a pipeline of mixed-use regeneration. This includes working with our national partnerships, ECF and Habiko.
In 2024 our ECF partnership with Legal & General and Homes England, doubled in size to £400m, while Habiko, our joint venture with Pension Insurance Corporation and Homes England, was established in 2024. Its aim is to deliver 3,000 affordable, low carbon homes over the next 10-12 years.
Through ECF, we are leading the delivery of Manor Road Quarter in Canning Town, London. On completion, the new neighbourhood will provide over 800 new homes, 50% of which will be affordable, alongside high-quality public spaces and commercial opportunities, reinforcing the commitment to inclusive and sustainable regeneration.
Speaking on his appointment, Simon Harding-Roots said:
“The commitment to partnering with true enablers, being solution focussed, and creating exemplary places that are inclusive and welcome all deeply resonates with me. I share this passion and am excited for the opportunity to lead the Southern team in delivering meaningful, long-term regeneration where it’s needed most.”
Phil Mayall, Managing Director at Muse, said:
“We also see ECF and Habiko playing an important role across London and the South. Simon is well placed to enable the expansion these critical national partnerships, creating high-quality new places which deliver the homes, retail, and public spaces communities deserve.”
