Putting the Midlands at the heart of the national conversation

The Midlands has all the right fundamentals to drive regeneration and attract investment. It’s an exciting, innovative, and proactive region in which to operate.

However, having the right ingredients isn’t enough – we need to talk about them, relentlessly. That’s why Muse has partnered with Place, to support Place Midlands.

The new, independent news site – which launches today – will showcase the dynamic regeneration and investment ecosystem across both the East and West Midlands.

Other founding partners include the West Midlands Combined Authority and the West Midlands Growth Company. Together, we want to ensure our region is at the heart of national conversations on growth, housing, regeneration, and investment.

We have a lot to shout about – from ambitious local authorities and world-class universities, to game-changing infrastructure and impactful regeneration.

Just as importantly, Place Midlands will hold our sector to account by offering challenge when it’s needed.

Over the next year, the Muse team will be working closely with Place Midlands. We’ll help curate a programme of events and content which sparks debate and demonstrates ambition.

This builds on regeneration we are already delivering across the region. It includes Arden Cross – the £3.2bn regeneration, facilitated by the HS2 Interchange station – 1,000 new homes at Smithgate, the regeneration of Solihull town centre at Mell Square, and a new neighbourhood at Greyfriars in Northampton.

Since launching our Midlands office we’ve seen clearly the energy and potential of this region. Now it’s time to put it at the heart of the national conversation.
