Salford is set for more new homes with plans approved for apartments on the former Farmer Norton car park on Cleminson Street as part of the ongoing regeneration of the Crescent area of the city.
Plans for the 185 one, two, and three-bedroom apartments were submitted by ECF, our partnership with Homes England and L&G.
Farmer Norton Phase 2 forms part of Adelphi Village, which will provide more than 800 homes as part of the wider Crescent Salford masterplan being delivered by the Crescent Partnership, formed of Salford City Council, the University of Salford and ECF.
The diverse range of homes within Adelphi Village will deliver enhanced quality and meet a wide range of housing needs, as well as prioritising sustainable living.
Steve Thomas, senior development manager, said:
Farmer Norton Phase 2 features two 5 and 6-storey buildings, a private courtyard garden, cycle storage and circa 40 new trees and planting. Inspired by the Adelphi Iron Works, which occupied the site until the mid-20th century, the plans also include accessible homes, disabled parking spaces and flexible, mixed-use ground-floor space.
CBRE advised ECF on planning for Farmer Norton, and dRMM Architects are leading on design.
