Salford is set for more new homes with plans approved for apartments on the former Farmer Norton car park on Cleminson Street as part of the ongoing regeneration of the Crescent area of the city.

Plans for Farmer Norton phase 1 feature 42 three-bedroom homes, with phase 2 delivering 185 one, two and three-bedroom apartments by ECF, our partnership with Homes England and L&G.

Farmer Norton Phase 2 forms part of Adelphi Village, which will provide more than 800 homes as part of the wider Crescent Salford masterplan being delivered by the Crescent Partnership, formed of Salford City Council, the University of Salford and ECF.

Farmer Norton forms part of Adelphi Village, which will provide more than 800 homes as part of the wider Crescent Salford masterplan being delivered by the Crescent Partnership, formed of Salford City Council, the University of Salford and ECF.

The diverse range of homes within Adelphi Village will deliver enhanced quality and meet a wide range of housing needs, while also prioritising sustainable living.

Steve Thomas, senior development manager, said:

With planning consent received, we look forward to making a start on the next community in Adelphi Village. These future-proofed, high-quality homes are key to the creation of a sustainable, mixed tenure neighbourhood that meets the needs of different people in the Crescent area of the city. Working as a partnership, we’re utilising our experience in investment, housing and urban regeneration to deliver homes that prioritise the health and wellbeing of communities, whilst addressing the urgent requirement for quality housing in Salford.”

CBRE advised ECF on planning for Farmer Norton and dRMM Architects are leading on design. Work is expected to begin on the site early next year.
