Built for people. Backed by awards.

Awards are an important moment in the annual calendar. They are a chance for our industry to reflect on its achievements and recognise those who have made an outstanding contribution.
We are proud, over our 40-year history, to have won hundreds of awards. Whether for our team, or our places, we have a track record of leading the way.
For example, The Word – a community library in South Shields – which we delivered in partnership with South Tyneside Council, has received 19 individual awards. This includes a RIBA National Award for Architecture.
RIBA judges called The Word:
At Brentford Lock West in London, RIBA also praised what our Waterside Places partnership with Canal & River Trust achieved. By delivering a peaceful waterside neighbourhood, we created a thriving new community.
Not only was it recognised by The Sunday Times as ‘Development of the Year’, but Brentford Lock West won six RIBA awards.
Judges commented:
Coming from RIBA (the Royal Institute of British Architects), such high-level industry recognition is a powerful confirmation of our approach to placemaking, regeneration, and delivery.
Similarly, Property Week, one of the UK’s leading property trade publications awarded Salford Central a national recognition for Placemaking.
Right at the heart of Salford’s success, Salford Central has won 30 awards over the last decade as, through our ECF partnership, we’ve worked with Salford City Council to deliver world-class workspaces and over 1,000 new homes.

As well as being recognised nationally, we also take great pride in the support and praise our places receive in the regions in which we are embedded.
Working with Umberslade in Bristol, Wapping Wharf – this vibrant new neighbourhood overlooking the city’s famous floating harbour won 11 awards, including the ‘Winner of Winners’ at the Bristol Property Awards.

At Millbay in Plymouth, our ECF partnership delivered a spectacular waterfront community which has transformed the historic docks to deliver new homes, shops, workplaces and public spaces, as well as a new school.
As a result, we’ve been recognised by our peers, winning the ‘Development of the Year’ at Insider’s South West Property Awards.
Such regional awards are just as important as national recognition, building on our truly place-based approach. It proves the quality of our delivery when we are praised by those who see, use, and spend time in our places every day.
Attending awards evenings and events is a moment of celebration for our teams, who work hard to deliver alongside our partners and communities.
However, it’s much more than an evening of fun – it’s proof of our track record, our ability to deliver, and a recognition that what we do has real and lasting value.
